Merrickville Garden Tour

“Where flowers bloom, so does hope.”
Lady Bird Johnson

Welcome to Merrickville’s Garden Tour, sponsored by Holy Trinity Anglican Church. Holy Trinity Anglican Church was first established in the pretty village of Merrickville in 1837. With its spire clearly visible above the roof tops of the village, Holy Trinity has played an important and integral role in our community for the past 186 years.

“Having officially been dubbed Canada’s Most Beautiful Village by Communities in Bloom, and with more designated heritage buildings than any other Ontario community of like-size, Merrickville is a unique and vibrant Victorian village on The Rideau Canal.”

The six gardens on this year’s tour will delight and inspire novice and avid gardeners alike. As a bonus, Waldie Woodworking will be opening their workshop where you will be able to examine all manner of classic wooden boats being built or restored. We are especially honoured to have David Dunn of the Rideau Woodland Ramble to answer all your gardening questions and Ann Martin, who will lead several forest bathing sessions. “Come discover the wild wisdom from the land as we listen with our hearts and all our senses.”

We are offering a number of featured tour stops. We welcome you to peruse this page.

Members of the Merrickville Arts Guild, Photography Collective will be displaying their beautiful photographs at Morning Mist Gallery. At other stops, a number of talented MAG artists will be either painting en plein aire or displaying their works for your enjoyment.

As well, please visit our discounts page which will direct you to the vast array of fabulous local restaurants and businesses offering discounts to ticketholders on the day of the tour.

Do not miss this unique opportunity to celebrate Merrickville’s rich heritage and some of the prettiest gardens on the Rideau corridor.
