The previous owners of this beautiful circa 1834 stone house spent many years building up the beautiful rambling English gardens that surround the property. The vibrant and cohesive colour schemes evolve from injections of pink, purple and fushia in the spring and intensifies to orange and yellow as the summer progresses.
The gardens are complemented with the many paths that adorn the property and allow beautiful vantage points to observe the variety of birds that nest nearby.
The front of the house features a painstakingly restored drystone wall and, where the property descends to the river, there is an elegant pavilion and one of the few boathouses on the Rideau system.
This garden also features the works of Mag Artists Mary Loos and Jackie Busby. Our local bakery, Violet’s on Main will have a display also.
